Welcome aboard Pommern!

The proud sailing ship Pommern has finally opened for the season. Buy your ticket at the Maritime Museum.

Travel the world without having to leave Mariehamn – aboard Pommern you are taken on a different voyage around the world. Joing the ship’s annual grain trade voyage to Australia. Experience life onboard by eavesdropping on the crew, participate in the work and feel Nature’s power over man in a unique audio-visual installation.

Listen to our popular audio guides. Both On Port Watch and children’s track Ruby’s Voyage are available in three languages: Swedish, Finnish and English.

Children discover Pommern through their own guide – Ruby the ship’s rat. She reveals her very best secrets on board. Shhhh… don’t tell the grown-ups!

During May, the Åland Maritime Museum and Pommern are open 11am-4pm, last embarkation on Pommern is at 3pm.

Plan your visit to Pommern

People sit and gather on a wooden pier next to the Pomerania, with calm water and blue sky in the background.
A small white button-down shirt hangs on a clothesline, framed by rope and metal objects in an outdoor setting.
A central image of the Pommern ship's bow with the text Mariehamn overlays two mobile app screens displaying museum-related content, along with a QR code and the Bloomberg Connects logo.

In Pommern’s digital guide you will find everything you need to discover the ship. There’s also the exciting audio guide On Port Watch – and for children the audio guide Ruby’s Voyage. Explore the guide for free in Bloomberg Connects.

Download the Bloomberg Connects app in your app manager or scan the QR code.
